Sky Society

"The whole society was gathering at the main tower for a special meeting... I wonder if we will ever migrate" cit. Advanced Pilot.

I wanted to explore the idea of a society living on the top of the iconic chinese mountains, I thought about it in a steampunk manner, where coal is used to power the engines fo the flying ships.

I've been very happy to achieve this style with this image since it's a straight render from Eevee, just slight compositor adjustements inside Blender.

After doing a couple of thumbnail sketches I started sculpting the main mountain asset and immediatly texture painted it to give me some inspiration, all made in Blender, thanks to Eevee tweaking materials is in realtime (Extreme pbr addon was used). After that I assembled some different ships design: carriage, human transportation, lightweight vehicle. Vegetation comes from botaniq blender addon.
